Update 2/23/11

Ella Kate came down with a rash Sunday morning and I took her to the doctor Monday morning. The doctor said that she has scarlet fever (which I didn't know still existed). Apparently this is no big deal and is a side effect of strep throat (although she didn't have a fever and her strep test was negative). Her throat was extremely red, so the doctor made the diagnosis. He prescribed some amoxicillin and the rash has gone away. She has always been a good baby, though, and she never acted like she was sick.

Ella Kate can now stand without holding on to anything, but is not brave enough to walk on her own just yet. She will hold on to a chair and walk around the house, though. We're pretty sure she'll start walking any day now.

She is now counting to three, can show you where her eyes and nose are and does the motions for rolling up and throwing a patty cake in a pan. Her bottom two front teeth are in and the top front two are most of the way out and it looks like she has two more about to emerge up top. She is now eating most everything (except for chocolate, peanut butter, shellfish, and eggs, which the doctor recommended we wait on).
